Spotted a new feature, if you follow certain links from emails they can create a calendar event for you. Following the links from this GCal email pops up the new event window – in this scenario its useless but there might be uses for confirmation emails, reminders or even promos. Wonder if it’s using Rich Snippets or mail.app is scraping the information…

UPDATE – looks like mail.app is just reading the URLs in the email – the links point to www.google.com/calendar/event?action=view and are then presented in calendar.app rather than on the web. Very neat.
