Outlook doesn’t have an in-built function to export to vCard format.

After a number of attempts with crippled shareware, I eventually found CSV to vCard which is a nifty online utility for converting CSV files.

So

  • in Outlook, export your contacts to a CSV
  • open the file in Notepad
  • copy/paste the text into the CSV to vCard site
  • process (might take a while if you have lots of contacts)
  • copy/paste the final text in to Notepad
  • Save as contacts.vcf
  • Send it to your Mac and Import in Address Book
